Description:
Burns & McDonnell’s Water division is seeking a Civil Engineer to serve both public and private clients. The role involves supporting senior engineers in various aspects of civil/structural engineering projects. Key responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and review of engineering deliverables, conducting basic calculations and design checks for Hydraulic calculation, and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure project success. This role requires a strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles, proficiency in relevant software, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
» Modeling and designing grading, Culvert, Road, etc. using Civil-3D
» Civil site design for facilities and developments.
» Standard design of civil project work.
» Prepare plan and profile drawings
» Hydraulic calculation
» Capture client requirements and if needed, advise them regarding civil works, systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
» Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization
» A committed team player able to work on own initiative.
» Work with a team locally to deliver projects overseas to the US project management team.
Qualifications:
» Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized institution
» Minimum 1 to 5 years of working experience in the related civil industry
» Working knowledge of International codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, AASHTO, FHWA, American-DOT etc.)
» Knowledge of Safety Guidelines and relevant codes
» Good analytical and problem-solving skills
» Good Communication skills (verbal & written), ability to self-check and produce accurate work
Tools:
» Sound knowledge of CIVIL-3D, Storm Cad and Civil Storm
» Preferred Understanding of Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote

Burns & McDonnell’s Water division is seeking a structural engineer to serve both public and private clients. The Structural Engineer will support project planning and detailed engineering of water and wastewater structural systems. Following is a description of typical job responsibilities.
» Support structural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
» Prepare structural specifications, design details, and calculations for steel, concrete, masonry and stainless steel structures. Design foundations and substructures for pre-engineered metal buildings, pre-manufactured buildings (i.e. MCC or PDC electrical buildings), pre-engineered and pre-manufactured tanks and equipment, pipe and cable tray racks and individual supports, and pipe bridges.
» Design reinforced concrete water holding basins (i.e. clarifiers, thickeners, aeration basins, pump stations) and other environmental structures in accordance with ACI 350.
» Review structural vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients, engineering disciplines, detailers, and designers.
» Participate in development of project schedule, scope, budget, staffing planning and construction planning. Responsible for effective management of change.
» Apply expert knowledge of commonly used structural concepts, practices, codes and procedures within the structural engineering services industry.
» Quality review production drawings and verify corrections are made.
» Work with field personnel to resolve design problems, support field inspections and test structural systems.
» Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the Civil /Structural engineering practice. Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
Qualifications :
» Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and Master’s Structural Engineering from an institution accredited by India’s National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade of “A” or better.
» 1 to 5 years structural engineering experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) experience preferred.
» Experience designing structural systems for water and wastewater and/or experience designing piping systems for oil, gas, and chemicals.
» Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong knowledge of structural design codes (e.g., IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7, API 650, NFPA 30, PIP CVC01015 and STC01015).
» Strong computer skills including proficiency with structural finite element software such as RISA, SAP, STAAD, or similar finite-element software packages. Experience with non-linear finite element analysis a plus.
» Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
» Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
» Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
» Proficiency in written & verbal English and experience working with United States based resources.

Qualifications :

♦ Excellent verbal/written communication, including the ability to synthesize technical information and communicate it to a non-technical audience.
♦ Experience building data visualizations that effectively communicate information.
♦ Experience building secure data models for role-based access control.
♦ Experience using Power BI (DAX & Power Query) to collect, transform, model, visualize and share data.
♦ Experience with writing Microsoft SQL queries preferred.
♦ Strong proficiency in MS Excel
