Job Description :

Danfoss Refrigeration and Air conditioning Controls is having R&D & Engineering operations in India. The Global RAC Lab has an opening for “Engineer” in Contract role based out of Chennai, India. He/ She should be part of a dynamic team in a company with a free way of working and informal tone of communication. Keywords in the team are results, independence, involvement, drive and co-operation both in the team and across the entire organization.

Danfoss Factories for Refrigeration and Air conditioning Controls are responsible for development, manufacturing and marketing of valves & controls for industrial and Commercial cooling purposes. The products are manufactured in large number of variants and used for many different media and applications. Market Support for Industrial Refrigeration, which consists of the functions Product Management, Engineering and Claim Handling, is the link between the factory and our customers.

Engineer should be able to support R&D teams in their Electronics test related projects and to drive lab activities like Product hardware & software testing & validation, Calibration, Verification & validation, and General maintenance follow Etc.

Job Responsibilities :

» Align with local & global R&D team to understand their test requirement and provide them test-related support.
» To handle electronics test stand equipment.
» To validate products like Electronics Controller, ICAD, Electronics control valves.
» To handle Electrical & Electronics instruments like AC DC power supply, DAQ, PXI Cards, Pickering cards, Stepper encoder Etc.,
» To work in python compiling
» To work in LabVIEW
» To work in Robot framework
» To work in Git repositories
» Maintains logs, performs rounds, and completes maintenance work orders, tests and inspections.

Background & Skills :

» Graduate in Electronic Engineering
» Minimum of 1-4 years’ experience in Electronics Testing & Software validation.
» Expertise in handling technical documentation / Calibration / Program Testing & validation.
» Previous experience/ exposure in R&D, Lab, refrigeration, valves & controls will be added advantage

Key Competencies :

» Sound knowledge in Test processes.
» Knowledge to read & understand various test standards & programs.
» Coordinate and manage communications across the global Lab team.
» Task planning & Execution.
» Familiar in Electronics handling tools & software’s.
» Test scripts encoding & decoding.

Soft Skills:

» Good communication in English (written and verbal)
» Work experience with computers and IT Systems (MS Office: PPT/Excel/Word, Auto CAD, Project Planner Etc.,) (need to create raw test reports & data etc)
» Good interpersonal skills
» Can work Ethically, independently, and systematically, be result oriented and at the same time be a good team player.
» Can prioritize and maintain control of the situation in a busy daily work situation
» Open-minded and able to work in multicultural, multi country team
