What You’ll Do:
〉 Provides day-to-day management of all infrastructure components including but not limited to Network Infrastructure and Security Applications and Appliances
〉 Creates and maintains supporting documentation, including but not limited to Network Infrastructure diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Disaster Recovery Plans, and IT policies and procedures.
〉 Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
〉 Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
〉 Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
〉 Secures network by developing network access, monitoring control, and evaluation.
〉 Upgrades network by conferring with vendors, developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
〉 Coordinate with key stakeholders to identify future needs and requirements & develop future state architecture.
〉 Provide level 3 technical expertise for projects and issues related to Network infrastructure.
〉 Ensure the security of information technology assets, data, network access, and backup systems, and implement monitoring and alerting systems to verify the security of internal and external systems
Special Conditions:
〉 Some evening and weekend work will be required (as required)
〉 Ability to provide 24-hour on-call and on-site emergency support (as required)
Experience You’ll Bring:
〉 University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networking, Engineering, or a related technical field.
〉 At least 2-5 years of progressive experience in IT Networking and/or Server Infrastructure.
〉 Fundamental understanding of Network Performance Tuning
〉 Fundamental understanding of LAN, and WAN protocols.
〉 Fundamental understanding of Network Design and Implementation
〉 Fundamental understanding of DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and Routing
〉 Proven strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
〉 Excellent report and documentation writing skills.
〉 Practical experience managing network software and network hardware devices.
〉 Experience with monitoring tools, monitoring methodologies, escalation processes, and procedures.
〉 Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
〉 Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive
〉 Proven ability to mentor and train others
〉 Strong communication skills and organization skills
Nice to Have:
〉 Relevant certifications (Network +, Security +, CCNA, CCSA)
〉 Experience with Checkpoint Products
〉 Experience with HP/Aruba Product
