Summary:

UST is looking for Firmware Validation Engineer.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

♦ Support platform validation activities, including benchmarking, BIOS, graphics, and component-level testing.
♦ Execute predefined test cases and report results to ensure platform quality and stability.
♦ Run automated tests using Azure DevOps pipelines and assist with monitoring and log collection.
♦ Set up and maintain test beds, including system hardware and software configuration.
♦ Flash firmware (BIOS, BMC, etc.) and verify functional integration.
♦ Collect logs, crash dumps, and diagnostics to support defect analysis.
♦ Log defects in ticketing tools and coordinate with engineering teams through issue resolution.
♦ Follow lab safety, ESD handling procedures, and maintain a clean, secure work area.

Skills:

♦ Windows platform validation
♦ Firmware flashing and hardware setup
♦ Azure DevOps test execution
♦ System log collection and defect reporting
♦ Familiarity with BIOS, graphics, and firmware testing
♦ Knowledge of debugging principles and crash log analysis
♦ Experience in a hardware or embedded lab environment
♦ Effective communication and teamwork skills

Qualification:

♦ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or 1-3 years of experience in system validation or platform testing
