Job Description :

We are seeking a talented and proactive Linux Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing our Linux systems, implementing automation solutions, monitoring storage and resource usage, providing L1 support, and assisting with IT support tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

» Automation: Develop and implement automation solutions for Linux systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
» Backup Management: Oversee regular backups of critical data on Linux systems to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
» Storage Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor storage usage, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and optimize storage configurations as needed.
» Resource Usage Monitoring: Monitor system resource usage, analyze trends, and create alerting dashboards to proactively address potential issues.
» Linux System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patch management, updates, and upgrades to keep Linux systems secure and up to date.
» Monitoring Agent Installation: Install and configure monitoring agents on Linux systems to ensure continuous monitoring and performance optimization.
» L1 Support: Extend L1 support by promptly identifying and resolving issues reported by users, escalating complex issues as necessary and documenting solutions.
» Ticket Management: Create and manage tickets for reported issues, track progress, and ensure timely resolution while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
» Notification Setup: Set up notifications for system events, alerts, and tickets to ensure timely awareness and response to critical issues.
» IT Support: Provide support to IT specialists and assist with sub-tasks related to internal user support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.

Qualifications:

» Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
» Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or similar role.
» Intermediate to expert in shell scripting/python
» Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
» Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
» Familiarity with backup solutions and storage management techniques.
» Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
» Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
» Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
» Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
