NDT Department is part of Engineering and Business Service Center (EBSC), Chennai. This department is responsible for ensuring NDT Evaluation and Quality of Towers and Blades which is produced in various factories
Responsibilities:
〉 Adherence to Vestas Safety Culture and values
〉 On time delivery as per SLA with Zero Errors and efficient hanlding of customer complaints
〉 Follow agreed NDT Process flow with zero deviation
〉 Create/Update NC for all deviations, track & close NC as per agreed SLA
〉 Train the Evaluators on new Blade model and get them certified
〉 Participate in Continous improvement actions and initiate QIP / SIP
〉 Participate in Internal / External Audit and provide input for PII Revisions
Qualifications:
〉 Bachelor’s in Engineering in any of the following disciplines – Mechanical / Manufacturing / Production / Industrial
〉 1 to 5 years of working in Heavy Engineering industries, Oil & Gas, Wind, Automobile, Aeronautical Industries and CADD Services / Consultancy
〉 Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in NDT (UT and VT) for Bachelor’s in Engineering
〉 NDT UT Level 2 certified – ASNT / PCN / Equivalent
Competencies:
〉 Good knowledge on Blades manufacturing and welding process
〉 Ability to setup & use NDT (UT) equipment’s and relevant analysis softwares
〉 Perform Hand & Machine UT Scan
〉 Fluent in English (Oral & Written)
〉 Proficient in Microsoft Office for reporting day to day developments
〉 Ability to work in a time-sensitive situation & get things done with quality
〉 Ability in being a team-oriented person with good pragmatical skills with methodological approach

♦ Be a skilled member of the broader sales team that builds Vestas’ Wind turbine order book and delivers sustainable growth across Asia Pacific
♦ Prepare accurate wind farm configurations and WTG pricing sheets in our specialized IT systems based on input from various technical and commercial stakeholders
♦ Retrieve, review and address cost assumptions and encourage optimization of our offerings to improve our win rate
♦ Develop a thorough understanding of each new project for which a proposal is to be developed, and the key buying criteria / financial metrics upon which the customers will make their purchase decision
♦ Interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders to perform value engineering activities
♦ Perform Advanced Analytics (competitive benchmarking, cost benchmarking, commercial performance reporting and Pre/Post deal analysis) to develop pricing strategies
♦ Secure the project’s approval path through internal gate reviews by preparing and delivering compelling, high quality presentations
♦ Secure the order intake by coordinating the actions of the cross functional team during proposal development, contract negotiations and financial close
♦ Be the flag bearer (ensuring adherence to and implementation of) for the Sales Governance process
♦ Provide regular and ad-hoc updates to senior management on the status and required actions by way of reports or live meetings/ conference calls and ensure that our CRM system is reflective of the latest information
Qualifications :
♦ Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology; MBA preferred with 2-4 years experience
♦ Cost awareness and business understanding
♦ Knowledge on contractual terms for large projects (energy, industrial, construction).
♦ Experience with tender processes for Wind / large-scale power plants or other complex industrial projects
♦ Experience with IT tools, CRM, SAP
♦ Fluent proficiency in English

♦ Advanced critical skills with previous experience with solving complex techno-commercial tasks
♦ Skilled commercial understanding and financial literacy
