About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Engineer to join the Newgen Cloud & Cyber Security Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions that support the organization’s business applications. You will collaborate closely with other teams, such as Delivery, Database, and Product, to deliver Newgen Managed Cloud Solutions on platforms based on Newgen products. Your role will ensure that these solutions are secure, scalable, and reliable. In essence, you will serve as a custodian of the Newgen Cloud Platform, playing a critical role in Newgen Cloud Delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms viz AWS, Azure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Monitor and maintain cloud systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with Solutioning and Product Engineering teams for optimized and cutting-edge Cloud Infra deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues across cloud environments.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs while ensuring performance and scalability.
• Maintain security and compliance in cloud environments, ensuring adherence to best practices and relevant regulations.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Work with internal teams and external vendors to manage cloud infrastructure upgrades, patches, and system configurations.
• Track & monitor SLAs for closure of customer tickets
• Open to work in shifts (24*7*365 operation)

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-year Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Cloud certifications Associate Level (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience in containerization and orchestrator technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, respectively.
• Familiarity with networking and security protocols in cloud environments (e.g., OSI, VPCs, security groups, NAC, firewalls, WAF, DNS, DHCP, FTP, http/s, SMTP).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch or any other monitoring solution.

• Clear verbal and written communication.
• A proactive mindset, willing to learn and adapt quickly.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally, if required.
• Openness to working in flexible hours or overlapping shifts, based on project needs.
• Comfort working at client locations when needed (with adequate support and planning).
